While I went to a conference in Baltimore the boys were able to spend some time with their grandparents in Phoenix. They went up to the Grand Canyon and had a blast. The pictures with them and the Elk are right outside the El Tavar Hotel. MK was not so sure about being that close.

Saddam's mother in laws house

The small building behind RK is Saddam's mother in law's house. He built it with a drawbridge so if he got mad at her he could lift the bridge and leave her there. Such a nice son in law!

Flintstone village

RK said that Saddam only liked one cartoon which was the Flintstone's. He had a village made to look just like the Flintstone village! Too bad he didn't like the Jetson's.

RK finishing 10 MILE run

RK just sent me this picture this morning. He participated in a 10 mile (yes mile) run this morning. He finished in 1:48:10 WOW!!! So he will be coming home one fit guy! He is smiling because he can see the end!!!!

PK, MK, SK and RM shooting!

My brother and his wife SM came to see us with their nephew JA. We all went shooting. The boys did great. MK was such a sure shot, PK was smoking the targets. Old mom didn't do half bad either. Of course I shoot great my first round after that well......

We had a great time and found a great range not far from the house. The boys also shot MK's air soft pistol.

This picture is for my brother RM. I guess this truck is one of ours but it is a GMC, you should have Nissan see about providing the vehicles. Isn't that how Hummer got it's name?

Pictures from Victory Palace

These are pictures from RK. He went over to the remains for the Victory over the America's Palace. I guess Saddam was building a palace for his victory over us, well it is now a bombed out ruin. There were two bombs that went off here is what RK said. In one room were these stacks and stacks of mattresses. For what who knows... Rich looks great!

RK's Palace

If you look behind RK you will see the palace he works at. He is standing on the steps of Sadam's palace. The top one is out the front door of his palace, and the bottom one is off his balcony looking at Baghdad International Airport.

Sadam's Palace

Here are some pictures of Sadam's Palace. The top picture is of the front door of the palace, RK's small gun was lost in the planes, trains and automobiles of getting him over there, it was found a few weeks later it just wanted to see more of the country, so he got a M-16 to carry for awhile. The next picture is in front of the Palace. The throne RK is sitting on was given to Sadam by Arafat, the story goes if you sit in the throne now you have to fart in it. RK said he gave it a good one. I am sure the throne room smells wonderful!!! The last picture is the bathroom in the palace. I have not figured out the 3 sinks but I guess in the US we have 2 so he wanted more. RK said it is all marble through out.
